It's how every trimmer's story starts and mine is no different. I had been riding for over 20 yrs before I truly knew anything about a hoof and it was all because of one horse.
I am a certified barefoot trimmer and avid rider. I started this site to show in pictures what a barefoot trim and lifestyle can do for your horse. There is a lot of great info on the internet on barefoot trimming; but what I want to show is pictures of the horse's hooves before, during, and after transitioning to a barefoot trim.
As I began my education in barefoot trimming and natural lifestyle, (see "barefoot essentials") I saw that, ultimately, it is domestication that kills horses. By stalling and shoeing our horses we are crippling them, weakening their bodies. The goal of this website is to show how, as we bring the horse back to nature, the body starts to heal itself.
